Tell Congress to Drill For Domestic Oil
Now!
Sign our Petition and let them know how you feel!
|
Democrats and environmentalists have blocked much domestic drilling. They’ve blocked Alaska, they’ve blocked the Pacific coast, they’ve blocked the Atlantic coast, and they’ve blocked off Florida, and restricted drilling on federal lands
by allowing the environmentalists to hold up drilling in the courts
and huge amounts of governmental red tape. That just leaves us more
and more dependent on foreign oil. It is estimated that there is enough domestic oil that if harvested would completely free us from foreign oil for
over 100 years. Instead the Democrats think they are solving the problem by castigating oil company executives for high fuel prices. We need to push Congress for more domestic exploration and drilling NOW!
This petition will finally allow your voice to be heard! |
Drill For Oil Here NOW! PETITION
|
We, therefore, the
undersigned citizens of the United States, petition the U.S. Congress to
act immediately to lower gasoline, diesel and other fuel prices by
authorizing the exploration and drilling of proven domestic energy
resources so as to reduce our dependence on foreign oil from unstable
and adversarial countries. |

Ron Vanlangendonck from Texas says it very well....
As a person who has been involved in the process of locating new
oil & gas reserves and buying and selling natural gas I have a very
good understanding of the industry. I am amazed every day at how
little our Representatives and Senators in Congress know about our
business and the hard work and research that goes on constantly to
find the energy sources we all rely on. Technology has increased a
thousand times over since I started in this business and we are able
to do things now we never dreamed of 30 years ago. Not only do we
know how to find the deposits of oil and gas we did not know about
before we also have the ability to drill for oil & gas that was not
economical to extract before. All in all though, it is still the
most risky business that there is and millions of dollars are spent
not only in buying leases that give us the right to drill but the
expertise and equipment required to drill thousands of feet (miles)
into the earth to find the reserves. The middle east seems like a
better place to drill because they are not burdened by the
environmental rules and regulations that protect us from ourselves.
The oil and gas is there we just have to have the right to go after
it. Some of the points I think the public is missing about the oil &
gas business are as follows: * Everybody in the O&G industry is not
rich many of us are just making a living, *Just because major oil
companies have several leases in offshore waters that doesn't mean
there is O&G there and they assume the risk of finding it, *To make
ourselves self-sufficient we have to all contribute to the cause
(that means the east coast and west coast have to belly up to the
bar and let us drill of their coasts like we have forever in the
gulf of Mexico), *Worrying about the disruption of barren wilderness
(ANWR) seems menial when compared to the large percentage of
Americans that have to make a choice of whether or not to eat or
drive to work with our rising cost of living and gas cost associated
with our dependence on foreign oil (I find this as foolish in the
United States as those people who do not want us to pray to God or
mention his name in public because they don't believe...it sounds
like the tail wagging the dog to me) *If our government officials
don't start thinking about their country and their constituents
instead of themselves we are doomed forever...we get the idea it is
all about their own preservation and never about us. I don't care
who is running for president or any other office it is all just
window dressing when they start telling us all the things they are
going to do when most Americans should know they don't even have the
support or authority to make those decisions without the support of
other politicians who have their own vested interest. Sorry for the
long remarks I just had to vent. Should we drill for oil. Your dang
right we should anywhere and everywhere we can. |

Fed up with the total incompetence of congress,
You really look like a bunch of idiots! gas at $4.00 a gallon for some on SS is a crime.
Obama is worst thing to ever happen to the Democratic party.
We will be walking if the dictators in the Middle East shake their fist at him.
You can drill your way out of this mess the same way the war in Iraq was won when all along you liberal retards were telling the world the USA can't win.
It is now time to drill, it is now time to do your job. If you find it gives you a tummy ache to make major decisions then you need to get the He** out of Washington.

Either we immediately start to develope our own domestic oil, coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy resources; or ten years from now America will be totally owned and ruled by the current foreign energy interests. As America is no longer the economic powerhouse it once was; we no longer have the surplus assets to squander away for other country's overpriced energy when we have plenty of our own for use. (If we can get the democrats the hell out of the way.) |

Secure the United States, drop the regulations and allow the oil companies to drill for oil NOW. You are hurting the economy by making excuses. You all need to be tarred and feathered and run out of DC on a rail.

Drill here! Drill now! Say we "can't drill our way out of it?" Yes, we can! (

Please start to drill. I hear you say that drilling now is not going to change anything in terms of price. Fine, I accept that. But if you had begun drilling in 1995, we wouldn't now be in the crunch we're in. That is an indisputable fact. We are already 13 years behind schedule. We can't turn back the clock and undo all the damage (ignoring the various declarations of war {Khobar Tower, WTC, USS Cole, our embassies in Sundan and Tanzania}, supplying n. reactors to N. Korea, etc.) of the Clinton administration, but we can try to do the right thing now, and try to do it better.
DRILL NOW
