About Drill For Oil Here
This past Independence Day weekend I decided it's time to do
something about the idiotic energy policies of our present democrat
controlled congress. Instead of going out to see the fireworks and grill
some hot dogs I stayed home and created this website based petition. I
know that there are a lot of like minded people like you out there who
feel the same way and don't have a highly visible way to vent your
frustration. I thought that a different sort of petition was needed that
would be more like a forum than a petition yet still be a petition. I
thought that besides just taking down folks name and email like other
petitions, I would setup a nice comments feature so people can vent!
Comments are very important and allow us a way to get our
frustrations with Congress out there where everyone can see them! Some
of the comments I've received are fantastic! My Senators Lindsey Graham
and James DeMint as well as my representative Joe Wilson will have these
comments available to them to add more ammo to fight the democrats and
finally get an intelligent energy policy passed. You can also help by passing
this petition on to your Senators and Congressmen as well, at least the ones who won't
just throw our views in the trash. But we want to send them ALL a message that we are fed up
with the coddling of the left wing environmentalists and the self
serving partisan politics that are killing our economy and our Country.
About me
I'm just a regular American who wishes our country was what our
founding fathers fought and died for it to be. Born and raised in Maine,
the oldest of three brothers, I spent my younger years in the Boy
Scouts, earning Eagle Scout rank and eventually becoming my Troops’
Scoutmaster. When I was a scout my Scoutmaster was very much like a
second father to me as my parents continually fought finally ending in
divorce. He taught me self reliance, moral values and a great love for
the outdoors and my country. I have loved the outdoors ever since and
have a passion for nature and travel photography, camping and hiking.
I am an IT worker full time and a
Photographer part time. I do my own web development and graphics design
work. I have an average salary and live in an apartment with my kind and
beautiful wife in Columbia
South Carolina. I have a grown son from my previous marriage to my
High School sweetheart who passed on due to illness when my son was 13.
It took many years for me to move on and did so in a surprising way.
While visiting Japan for an extended period I met my future lovely wife, and
decided to finally re-marry. We went through the tedious, stressful and
expensive immigration procedure and now she is working toward becoming
an American citizen. After all we went through to get her green card it
really upsets us to see people coming to this country illegally. The
process needs a vast improvement but still needs to be followed.
I moved to the South in 2000 to experience snow-less winters, warm
weather and way less taxes and regulation. I'm
presently living in the Columbia South Carolina area, and working toward
my dream of becoming a full time photographer.
My love of photography started in Jr. High school when I joined the
Photography Club. Although most of my career has been in IT, My interest
in photography never waned as I worked freelance in my spare time. I
have also done summer theatre and even did some stand-up comedy. But
photography is and always will be my real passion along with a great
love for my country.
You can email your
questions, ideas and private comments here. I'll be happy to hear
from you. I would gratefully accept any help, assistance and
knowledge you have to get this petition to a state that it will be a
major factor in finally convincing Congress to get to work on an energy
policy based on reality and what is best for us as a country.
